About Hamble le Rice

The picturesque village of Hamble le Rice is situated just outside Southampton on the south coast of England. Located on the mouth of the River Hamble, it is famed the world over for its association with yachting and aviation. The village has a delightful Norman Church, village square, village green, and cobbled high street with its small shops, pubs, restaurants and attractive period properties and town quay with a regular ferry service to Warsash.

The shores of the River Hamble have long been a haven for yachtsmen, with its many yacht clubs and marinas, it is renowned throughout the world for sailing. Hamble village is home to three of these marinas and three of the four yacht clubs on the river. Not only can you sail here, you can also windsurf, canoe, fish or just watch the river roll by.
